Most girls dream about their wedding day from the time they know what a wedding is. I can't say that's the case with me, but on April 18, 2009, the day was everything I could have dreamed of. Surrounded by our friends and family, Justin Kropff and I were married on a beautiful afternoon in the city where we met and fell in love. You know Justin, he used to be a Sports Anchor here at the station. It was a pleasant surprise to see clips of our wedding on Monday morning. The morning crew put together a few segments and aired them - thanks guys! I hadn't seen any pictures or video until then. If you get up early with us in the morning, you got to see the video and hear Bob call me by my married name for the first time. Yep, from now on, I'm going by Allison Kropff. I still giggle a little every time I hear it. It'll be old hat in no time. Thank you so much for your warm wishes and kind emails that greeted me when I returned Monday morning. It's so nice to see how much faith people have in marriage and how thoughtful and sweet people are here in East Tennessee. It was really cool to read emails about people who have been married anywhere from 3 to 35 years and say they are just as happy now as they were then. We've gotten some wonderful advice. It's been really interesting to hear what people do to keep their marriages alive. Anything from little gifts to big trips, from laughing to crying it's been so cool to hear how people make it work. What is your secret? See you in the morning, Allison Kropff |
