Thunder Dog: a weather tool I use at home

When you go to bed at night, you may be unaware a strong to severe storm is brewing.    Well at home, I have an extra alert system, I call Thunder Dog.  I get the Volunteer TV text alerts, but this is a vibration alert that will wake you from a deep sleep.

My Thunder Dog system is about 11 years old, but is still very good about waking me.  It starts off with gentle vibrations as thunder rumbles well off in the distance.  And, in some cases, it will even alert me to strong winds.   When the storm is getting really close, Thunder Dog makes sure I'm awake.  The vibrations turn into shaking, and it is impossible to sleep through.  You will never miss a storm, if you have Thunder Dog.

Thunder Dog will actually adapt to your living situation as well.  For example, when I got married it learned to start waking up my husband as well.  It is really a very handy tool, if you never want to sleep through a storm.

This is the version of Thunder Dog I purchase.  ;)

Her name is Coconut, and she is a teacup Poodle.  She will climb across your face, try to burrow under you, and will be shaking like a washing machine the entire time.  She will not calm down until the storm passes, so I never miss a thing in the middle of the night.  :)
