Toll Road? Isn't about time for our elected officals to learn to live within the budget provided? Or should we take immediate steps to remove them.

There is no need for a toll road in Tennessee! It is only a desparation move by our state legislators to try and recoup some of the mismanaged money that they have assigned to the wrong places! They are already responsible for higher property taxes in almost every county and city in the state because of their mismanagement! If they want to recoup some money to make up for their mistakes, then why not pass a law to take a certain percentage of all of the millions of dollars that the Tennessee Lottery takes in to alot for several areas that really need it in addition to the educational system? Some other states (like Kentucky for instance) use their lottery dollars not only for education, but for other state legislator purposes and they don't even have a tax on groceries! Go Figure! I guess our Tennessee legislators are just blind to that fact!

everyone should call local and state officials to stop it , first we pay dearly in taxes , fuel prices we are being raped , second there are places in the US that toll roads are owned by foriegn Companies we don't need that here , America and East Tenn need to wake up to issues like these quit letting Corperations and Government sell us out and Control us.on youtube.com look up Lyndsey Williams (energy the non crises)

we already pay a toll for using the roads in gasoline, closures, and this money never goes anywhere. Not the schools as cig tax was to, not the lottery, not the visitors that use food stamps unnessesarily, or the health progames etc.

Isn't this the reason why I'm paying a $30 wheel tax every year? If they actually used the money they claimed would go to roads on the roads, I would never see a pothole in Knox County. Where is the money going???
