The problem could be fixed if the EPA would get involved in preveting so things. For example I live in rutledge one a small 2 lane road in a small community. We all have wells with no other options. Now we have a company trying to put a quarry right in our back&front yards. I have called everyone I can think of and guess what? There are no regulations on how close a quarry can build next to a home. We were here first, this is our home does the company care? No! Will the EPA help us stop this? No! Who is going to paying the extra health care bills? We are! Then after our wonderful community is destoried then the EPA will help. That makes no sense to me. I dont understand how it is against the law to smoke 50 feet from a public door but a company can put a quarry 50 feet from my well. That just does not make any sense. |
