I personally didn't care for Elvis, but he did start the rock-n-roll era. Jackson was very talented, but he turned into a complete freak. And his child molestations, and everyone knows he did it or he wouldn't have paid the victims millions of dollars to hush up, preclude him from being anything other than a freak and a child molester. No disrespect to Elvis Presly, he paved the way, but Jackson lined it with gold. You cannot look at an entertainer in the industry today without hearing a Michael Jackson beat or seeing a Michael Jackson move. Almost every entertainer, in some form or fashion, will list Michael Jackson as an influence in their sound, style, moves, etc. Michael Jackson turned the industry into what it is today.
