Hey Friends,

Let me start by saying I hate personally using the word "fans". You see, to me I'm simply Stacy and Bob is simply Bob, etc. We are here at WVLT doing our jobs as a journalists, bringing you the news with professionalism and accuracy ... okay and a few laughs in between : )
Now, let me say that I watch certain people on the news that I am a fan of!  I'm a big fan Bob Schieffer and Steve Hartman .. I greatly admire their work and I would give anything to meet them .. so I do get it!! Still, I am always taken when a viewer says they are my biggest fan. 

I get some great emails and letters from viewers, making that claim and they always make me smile. I even got the cutest hand carved Christmas tree from viewers Doug and Paula (and their two poms) who claim to hold that title (thanks by the way, I love it).  Well it looks like you have some competition from two viewers I met in Jellico on Saturday. 

As I turned the corner leading the Jellico parade I saw the bubbliest lady yelling for me.  I saw she had a sign but I couldn't read it just yet.  As I got closer I can't tell you how shocked I was to see my name written on it!   It said, "Stacy, Merry Christmas, Love Karen and Mike ".  It was all trimmed in tinsel .. I mean what a welcome, how sweet was that?!  Seriously, I was so touched that someone would do that!  They later wrote me an email to explain why they aren't just fans and viewers, but my biggest fans and that comment was even sweeter.  I apparently remind them of their daughter who is away at school ... that is sweet!!  I'm glad I can bring you a little of her personality to them each morning and afternoon!  

While I'm dedicating this blog to Mike and Karen for being such rays of sunshine in my day last week, but I thank all our fabulous viewers who watch!  Speaking from everyone here on the WVLT team I can say that we appreciate you watching more than you know! 

As I say every morning, the best thing our "fans" can do is to ... "Tell a friend to join us"!!
