MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- They come by the hundreds, mostly for the big names.

"Alan Jackson really drawn me, when I saw that so I bought the three day pass," says Adam Britton of Madisonville.

"Kansas, I've heard them in my teenage year and Little River band that's playing now," says John Conley of Friendsville.

But the little guys are a draw, too -- like Twiggy, the water-skiing squirrel.

"This is actually my second time. They had so much response from Twiggy the first time she came that evidentially been a standing joke, 'Is Twiggy going to be here this year?,' this year they were able to say, 'Yes!' says Twiggy's 'Mom' Lou Ann Best.

It was cold and damp. But The 10th Annual Foothills Fall Festival started strong despite the weather. Twiggy ruled AdventureLand with her water-skiing show by day, inspiring her onlookers with her special talent.

"I don't really know how to ski, but it kind of does," says Ashley Conser.

"If you teach them with food, when they get full they are going to want to go hide it, not going to sick around to water-ski, so you have to do it with love and affection," says Best.

By night, headliners Kansas ruled the stage. The faithful braved the drizzle, for a chance to get the East Tennessee community together.

"I come a lot of times to fellowship with friends and see a lot of people that I haven't seen throughout the year," says Conley.

Saturday night Alan Jackson will take the stage. Sunday, Rodney Adkins is the headliner. Stay tuned to Volunteer TV for all the highlights of the Foothills Fall Festival weekend.
