MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Blount County's Fifth Judicial Drug Task Force arrested four people on meth charges Tuesday, according to a release from the Blount County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies say Amie Cassandra Lee, 32, Joseph Scott Clouse, 25, Tommy Arthur King, 40, and Fleisha Eskivonne Burchfield, 23, all of Rockford, are charged with promoting the manufacture of meth. Burchfield is also charged with possession of Oxycodone.

Investigators were tipped off about the meth activity when they were alerted to "persons shopping for pseudoephedrine at a local retail store," the release states.

"Further investigation revealed that they were were shopping for the same items at multiple locations, which is indicative of people trying to accumulate larger amounts of pseudoephedrine without being detected and restricted on their purchases," according to the news release.
