BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT)- One Blount County family is looking another place to stay this morning-- after a chimney fire forces them from their home.

Fire fighters were called to the house on Coulter Road about 8-30 last night.

Officials say neighbors saw the chimney on fire, and called 9-1-1-- then ran next door to alert family

The house received minor damage, and no one was injured.

But firefighters say chimney fires can get out of control very quickly.

Captain Jim Patty of the Blount County Fire Department says, "Lots of houses have been lost. If it hadn't been for a real good quick response and quick action on this house it would've been lost."

Firefighters say you should always make sure your chimney is properly cleaned.
