CLAIBORNE COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT)- They finally recovered the body of their loved one-- 43-year-old Robert Ward.

"It's a relief to us emergency personnel and also to the family it puts a closure to them."

Ward disappeared two weeks ago. He was out on the water with family and friends when he went to check the engine and fell off his pontoon boat.

More than 200 people searched Norris Lake. His family even camped out for days hoping they'd find him.

15 days later, they did. A fisherman spotted his body floating between 33 Marina and Cedar Grove Marina-- the same area crews had been dragging and searching...

"As emergency personnel we get discouraged when we can't find the body we have searched for 10 days in extreme heat during the day and it takes a toll on us just like the family.

After being pulled out of the water, his body was taken to UT Medical Center for an autopsy.

The Ward family waited patiently, and now, they prepare to put his body to rest.

The Union County and Claiborne County rescue squads teamed up for the search.

Volunteers say they will be splitting the cost of the search between the two of them.
