KNOXVILLE (WVLT) -- Two restaurants failed their inspections in this week’s look “Behind the Kitchen Door.”
The Sonic Drive-In at 6949 Maynardville Highway had a 40, one of the lowest scores seen in our weekly look behind the kitchen door.
Knox County health inspectors found several health code violations at the restaurant including rodents in its storage shed and an employee that was wearing a loose band-aid which preparing food.
Inspectors also observed an employee wipe their hands on their t-shirt and continued working without washing.
They also found spoiled and cut up bananas left out, grease on the walls, floor and ceiling, and dirty dishes soaking and not pre-scraped.
