KNOXVILLE (WVLT) – There were three restaurants that failed their inspections this week from the Knox County Health Department.
The lowest in our “Look Behind the Kitchen Door” was the S&S Cafeteria at 4808 Kingston Pike which scored a 64.
During their inspection, health department officials say they witnessed an employee wearing fabric gloves and another wiping their hands on an apron and continuing to cook without washing their hands.
They also discovered toxic items stored over vegetables, the dish washing machine not sanitizing, food build-up on a can opener and unprotected chicken mixed and other foods falling into a container.
