(WVLT) We have two of the lowest scores in recent memory, for a total of four restaurants that failed and two that almost failed this week from the Knox County Health Department, in our look "Behind the Kitchen Door."

The lowest score is Mandarin House, 8111 Gleason, 37.

Inspectors saw an employee drop chicken on the floor and attempted to cook it.

Fried food dripping onto chicken in freezer.

Roaches in the dish room, cubed and chicken at potentially hazardous temperature, toxic chemicals not labeled or stored properly.

The kitchen and equipment dirty and moldy ceiling throughout.

Holiday Inn Central, 1315 Kirby Road, 45.

Employee unloading stock and preparing food without washing their hands.

Milk at potentially hazardous temperature, the dish machine not sanitizing.

Salad dressing had an expiration date of 10/07.

The floors and equipment dirty.

Senor Taco, 3325 Broadway, 63.

Cheese stuffed peppers at potentially hazardous temperature.

Wastewater leaking onto the floor, dish machine and 3-compartment sink not operational.

Toxic chemicals stored next to salt and pepper shakers.

The freezer was not operational, multiple food products thawing, inspectors had all food removed to cooler or cooked immediately cannot be re-
frozen.

Little Caesars Pizza, 4322 Broadway, 69.

Chicken wings at potentially hazardous temperature, bulk yellow product unlabeled.

Can opener, mixer, racks and walls dirty.

Dipping cups, ranch and garlic, stored on the floor.

Monterrey Mexican Restaurant, 106 Cedar Lane, 70.

Six boxes of pizza in freezer completely thawed, embargoed 24 pounds of pizza, observed cook staff wipe hands on apron and resume preparing food without washing hands.

The freezer motor went out overnight, inspector ordered all food removed to cooler or cooked, not to be re-frozen.

Food products stored uncovered.

Chandlers Deli, 3101 Magnolia Avenue, 70.

Employee places gloves on without washing hands, employee washed hands without soap, employee not washing hands after changing jobs.

Ice machine draining water onto floor, bulk food containers unlabeled.

Microwave dirty inside and the equipment and floors dirty.

Now for the good news.

We have twelve restaurants that scored ninety and above this week.

Kichi Sushi, Kingston Pike and Days Inn Continental Breakfast, Asheville Highway, 90.

Chop House, 9700 Kingston Pike and Duncan's Cafe, Main Street, 91.

Susie Q's, 1031 Maryville Pike, Brusters Ice Cream, 1043 Cedar Bluff, Krystal, 410 Lovell Road, Zaxby's, 2024 Cumberland and Country Table, 1807 Cherry Street, 92.

Subway, Kingston Pike, All Occasion Catering, 3336 Sevier Avenue, 93.

Circleside Cafe, 400 Goody's Lane, 95.

has the mandarin house cleaned up their resturant yet and what was their score after???

i loved eating there every monday but with this i dont think i will be eating there until i see a better grade like nighties
