Burglar caught in act by victim, held until police arrive
Two people were arrested early Monday morning after a man pins the suspected burglar on the ground and holds on to him until officers arrive.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Two people were arrested early Monday morning after a man pins the suspected burglar on the ground and holds on to him until officers arrive.
A KPD spokesperson explained the man's girlfriend called police shortly after 4:00 a.m. and told them he caught the suspect, twenty year-old Phillip Resto, breaking into their car on London Circle and was pinning him to the ground. She also said another woman was still in the area.
Both suspects, Resto and a 17 year-old girl, were taken into custody. Resto allegedly told police the pair had probably gone through thirty or forty cars. Four victims were willing to press charges.
Resto was charged with four counts of Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tolls, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, and Felony Theft; while the girl Curfew Violation, Possession of Tobacco Products, four counts of Burglary, and Possession of Burglary Tools.
