KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A homeless, registered sex offender was arrested on Monday after authorities discovered him within a thousand feet of World's Fair Park. Sixty year-old Gregory L. Cramer told officials he had been coming down to the area several times a week for about a month and was there for about two hours that day.
Cramer had been staying in his car on the property of a local truck stop. He was found by officers who were trying to perform a compliance check.
He also violated the terms of the Sex Offender Registry last year by failing to register shortly after moving to Roane County, according to the Knox Co. Sheriff's Office. In that instance the Harriman Police Department charged him with Failing to Register.
Cramer was convicted of molesting three children in Seymour, Indiana and, in Bellefontaine, Ohio, he was convicted of Sexual Imposition with two victims.
