Man shot leaving party
A man was shot in the back while leaving a party at Walter P. Taylor homes Friday night.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A man was shot in the back while leaving a party at Walter P. Taylor homes Friday night.
The man told police he was on his way to a store at 2517 Martin Luther King, Jr Ave. after leaving a party when shots rang out in his direction and he was shot in his back. The man fled to his home and his cousin called 911.
In release, Knoxville Police say the crime scene spanned a parking lot and an alley behind the store. The release also says several shell casings were recovered.
The man was treated at UT Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
