Maryville homicide suspect caught trying to cross into Canada
Clinton Garrett Walton, 30, was wanted in connection with the death of 37 year-old Brian David Fann, who was found dead in Walland home on Friday.

MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A suspect in a Blount Co. homicide was caught trying to cross the border into Canada over the weekend, just hours after the victim was killed, according to the Blount Co. Sheriff's Office.
Thirty year-old Clinton Garrett Walton was stopped by agents with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and U.S. Border Patrol early Saturday morning. He is a suspect in the killing of Brian David Fann, 37, who was found dead in his home in Walland on Friday.
Walton is being held at the Wayne Co. Detention Facility in Detroit on two Blount Co. warrants for auto theft as well as for being a suspect in Fann's death. The Sheriff's Office said they have two detectives and a scene investigators on their way to Detroit.
The Blount Co. Sheriff's Office said it is continuing to investigate the homicide.
