West beats East 16-13 in Toyota Tennessee All-Star Classic
From Bristol to Memphis, roughly 88 seniors from all across the state played in the football game.

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The West All-Stars beat the East's best Saturday afternoon 16-13 Saturday afternoon on the campus of Carson-Newman.

West's Tony Jefferson, of Whitehaven, scored on a 25 yard run with 2:09 left in the third quarter to give the West a 16-13 lead. It turned out to be the game winning touchdown.

In the first quarter, the East got on the board first thanks to a John Long (Ooltewah) field goal. But West answered with a touchdown run and a safety, giving the West a 9-3 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Long hit a 39 yard field goal for the only scoring in the second quarter, as West led 9-6 at the half.

After a Tyler Williamson (Catholic) interception, Keon Williams (Red Bank) scored form a yard out, giving the East a 13-7 lead third quarter lead.

Shortly later, however, that's when Jefferson busted thru the East defense for the final score of the game.

The following were named the game's MVP's:

West Offense: Austin Martindale, WR, USJ
West Defense: Avery Williamson, LB, Milan
