NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton plans to run television advertisements in Nashville, Memphis, Jackson, Chattanooga and Knoxville.
The announcement by the Clinton campaign Tuesday comes after her chief rival Barack Obama's television ads have started running in Nashville, Memphis, Chattanooga and Knoxville.
Both campaigns have declined to release the cost of the ads, though they are likely to continue until the Tennessee primary Feb. 5.
State Democratic leaders have predicted a tight race among Obama, Clinton and John Edwards.
Obama has a campaign office in Nashville and Memphis, and Clinton opened an office in Nashville on Tuesday. Edwards does not yet have a campaign office in Tennessee.
