LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Britney Spears has been placed into an ambulance at her home after a custodial standoff involving her small children that lasted nearly three hours.
Aerial footage from KTLA-TV showed the singer being lifted in a gurney into an ambulance.
Los Angeles police officer Jason Lee says Spears turned over her children around 10:50 p.m. Pacific time Thursday.
Police were called to the residence around 8 p.m.
Lee says Spears was under the influence of an unknown substance.
No injuries have been reported.
