NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The children of late country artist Conway Twitty have filed a lawsuit against Sony/ATV for royalties and publishing copyrights for his music.

Twitty, whose real name is Harold Jenkins, died in 1993 after a 30-year career that included classics like "Hello Darlin"' and a duet with Loretta Lynn, "Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man."

His four children filed a lawsuit in chancery court last week saying they didn't understand the agreement when the artist sold his music publishing and sound recording interests to Sony-Tree in March 1990.

His children claim they lost the chance to renew the copyrights in their own name and suffered a financial loss.
