Neil grew up in Southwest Louisiana and he says State Farm agents were very involved in the community there, and that always impressed him, sparking his interest to serve a community in which he resides.

"I originally was in South Knoxville, but there were three agents within a 3 mile radius. When I decided
to relocate, I really liked the convenience of the Pellissippi/Northshore area- and there were no other agents to serve that area," said Neil.

Three things seem to be of most concern to the typical customer.

Too many companies imply there's not much difference between insurance companies.

"Everyone has seen the ad where the two cars have the same damage and get the same repairs, but one has cheaper rates. But ask those who went through the recent hail storm if having an agent wasn't important," said Neil.

"The number of customers that came into our office to talk about their claim and just wanting to make sure they understood the process was incredible," said Neil.

As Neil was so aware of as he was growing up, State farm agents are very visible in the community.

"We support our community. When was the last time you saw a 1 800 company take an ad in a school program, or donate auction items to a charitable event, or present a check to a local charity?," said Neil.
