It's one day away, and the New Year's Eve holiday kicks off with the Volunteers and the Chick-Fil-A Bowl. So what better way to spice up your bowl bash than with a unique and tasty Chex Mix.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Monica Flatford created an award winning Chex Mix recipe, called Buffalo Chex Mix- it's like you're eating buffalo wings, but not! Flatford entered a Chex Mix contest and won! It's a perfect recipe for your snacking pleasure, and it's perfect for your Chick-Fil-A Bowl festivities!
Buffalo Chex Mix- prep time, 15 minutes.
4 cups RIce Chex cereal
4 cups Wheat Chex cereal
2 cups Parmesan-flavored tiny fish-shaped crackers
2 cups pretzel twists
6 tablespoons butter
2 1/2 tablespoons hot sauce (as spicy or mild as you wish)
1 packet ranch dressing mix
2 teaspoons celery seed
1. In large microwave bowl, mix cereals, crackers, pretzels; set aside. In small bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High about 40 seconds or until melted. Stir in hot sauce and seasonings. Pour over ceral mix and stir.
1. Microwave uncovered on High 4 to 5 minutes, thoroughly stirring every 2 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool. Store in airtight container.
