SURGOINSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The missing 16-year-old grandson of a slain Surgoinsville couple has been found in Hawkins County.
Officials have not called the teen a suspect, but were looking for him after the bodies of his grandparents were discovered on Saturday.
Hawkins County Sheriff Roger Christian told the Kingsport Times-News Clyde and Linda Fannin appear to have died on Friday of gunshot wounds. The grandson who was being sought lived with the couple.
Christian said there were several guns in the home.
Clyde Fannin was a retired Newport-News, Va., police officer.
The Fannins' bodies have been sent to the Quillen College of Medicine for autopsies.
