MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Two more people have died of heat-related causes in Shelby County, bringing the summer toll to 15.
The Commercial Appeal reports that both victims were found dead Saturday at their homes.
The 14th victim was a 46-year-old man. Additional tests are needed to confirm the cause of death, but the Shelby County Medical Examiner's office says heat was a contributing factor.
The 15th victim was a 67-year-old woman. Although the primary cause of death was an underlying chronic condition, heat was also a factor.
