KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- It could feel as hot as 105 degrees this weekend.
That's why the Community Action Committee is asking folks to keep an eye on area seniors.
The elderly are especially vulnerable to hot weather.
Some signs of trouble include heavy sweating, flushed face, nausea, confusion and slurred speech.
Unfortunately many of these situations start when they can't have an air conditioning unit replaced.
The CAC has spent the summer gathering donated fans for seniors without air conditioning.
You can donate a fan or find out how to help further by calling them at 546-3500.
