Knoxville (WVLT) - The Knox County Sheriff's Department needs you to be on the lookout for the victim of a kidnapping.

A spokeswoman tells us just before 6 p.m. Tuesday, two hitchhikers traveling from Texas to Cincinnati in a semi stopped on Watt Road. The male hitchhiker, Laduke Warwick, exited the semi, but as the female hitchhiker, Jessica Hayward, tried to exit the vehicle, the driver allegedly pulled out a gun and told her to stay in the vehicle.

They're believed to be traveling in a semi with a blue cab and white trailer with the multi-colored letters TRL on the side.

The suspect is a white male, who is 6'2", 185 pounds.

The victim is Jessica Hayward, who is white, she is 5'4", 160 pounds, with brown hair, and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing blue jean shorts and a brown top and flip flops.

The semi was last seen pulling onto I-40 East. If you have any information, you're asked to call your local authorities.
