Knoxville Ice Bears 2008-2009 schedule announced

In anticipation of celebrating the Southern Professional Hockey League’s (SPHL) five year anniversary, the Knoxville Ice Bears released the 2008-2009 schedule today. The Ice Bears will open their home season on Friday, October 24 against the Fayetteville FireAntz.

The Knoxville Ice Bears are very active in the Knoxville community, and have been since their inaugural season in 2002. Community outreach is one way to give back to the community that has given so much to them. In fact, over the past several weeks, the organization has been working to raise money for two local charities, the Knoxville Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and East Tennessee Children’s Hospital.
