KNOXVILLE (WVLT) – As the Knoxville Ice Bears are inching closer to winning the SPHL Championship, a video has been circulating the Internet and cable television that shows a bear playing hockey.

The video, courtesy of Sports Channel 7TV in Russia shows the bear decked out in skates, a helmet, jersey, and stick.

Apparently it was filmed sometime this year in between periods of a Russian Super League game between Metallurg Magnitogorsk and Dynamo Moscow.

After several minutes on the ice, the bear who is wearing a Metallurg jersey put a slap shot into the lower left hand corner of the net, driving the crowd wild.
