KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- Job is a new member to the Migun family, but he's not a family pet.
He's actually a service dog for 17 year old Sara who has seizures.
She says "It's so random and it catches me off guard. I have fallen down the stairs before. I've gotten a ton of concussions. Busted knees back and a couple of times and I've stopped breathing."
After suffering hundreds of seizures, almost one daily since her freshmen year of high school, Sara decided to look into service dogs.
Sara says, "Originally he was going to be a seizure assistance dog. So once I passed out have to train myself to grab him as I fell on him. So he would break my fall then lay up next to me as a comforting thing."
But surprisingly, Job even alerts Sara prior to a seizure by jumping on her. She says she can then fight it off and prevent it.
And, Sara has many people to thank for Job.
She reached out to people on face book and email as she raised money to buy her 4600 dollar service dog.
She asked each person for a dollar.
The response was overwhelming with people hand writing notes and sending even hundreds of dollars.
Sara says Job gave her confidence so she can finish high school.
She is in her Senior year at Bearden High.
But the letters give her inspiration, "Its shows that the world cares."
Sara has been seizure free for the two months that she has had Job.
And after four more months, she may be able to get her license.

Hi My dog Violet - Vee-Vee will be my assist/seizure response dog now i don't get banged up knees, back etc b/c i don't walk - but i do whack myself in my epi-fog the semi-conscious state of awareness on my arms head, tongue etc, just as severe in my opinion --hehe--- So b/c i intend to live independently w/ carers eventually i want to not worry my roommates carer, spouse/boyfriend because they'd be nervous and would wanna have a trusted being arouse me and prevent injury etc.
Sara has now been allowed to bring Job to Bearden. Sara is a wonderful teenager and I am glad to see that she was able to overcome something that might have kept her from living the life she was meant to experience. Good luck Sara and Job.
I have a Labradoodle as my service dog for Epilepsy. All public Schools need to read up more on service dog training and laws. And teach the other student each year what a service dog do for people. Have service dog training places come in and talk to all student. It time all teacher and all students learn. If you have a service dog, go online to Pup'parel.com and look at all the diffrent service dog patches.
