Blount man arrested on child exploitation charges
A Blount County man is in jail facing sexual exploitation of a minor charges, after several child porn videos were found on his computer, according to a news release from the Blount County Sheriff's Office.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Blount County man is in jail facing sexual exploitation of a minor charges, after several child porn videos were found on his computer, according to a news release from the Blount County Sheriff's Office.
Gary Matthew Payne, 24, of Maryville, is being held on a $25,000 bond. He was arrested Thursday evening, deputies say.
"Payne’s arrest is the result of an undercover on-line investigation by the Sheriff’s Office HEAT (Hi-Tech Evidence and Technology) Unit, as part of ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children)," Marian O'Briant wrote in the news release. "Thursday, investigators with the HEAT Unit executed a search warrant at Payne’s residence and seized his computer. A forensic review of the hard drive of Payne’s computer revealed several videos of child pornography."
Payne is due in court Sept. 9 at 9 a.m.
