"Operation I-75" Fights Back Against Meth Makers in East Tennessee Save Email Print

MADISONVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- Monroe County cops are fighting back against meth makers.

The three-month operation called "Operation I-75 wrapped up earlier this week.

During the investigation undercover officers sold iodine crystals from undercover officers.

Monroe County Sheriff Bill Bivens says police recorded conversations related to the production of meth and the trading of meth for components used to make the drug.

On November 6th, 2007, deputies arrested six people as part of "Operation I-75."

Police seized two vehicles and approximately $3000.

Individuals charged in this operation were:

Debbie Ann Reed is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, and attempt to manufacture methamphetamine.

Reed is out of jail after posting a $9000.00 bond.

James Dustin Griffith, is charged with manufacture, delivery, sale, and possession of meth and unlawful drug paraphernalia.

He's out of jail on bond.

Joshua Michael McClain is charged with manufacture, delivery, sale, and possession of meth, child abuse and neglect, and possession of Marijuana.

McClain is still in jail in lieu of a $14,000.00 bond.

Ronald Lamark Kilgore is charged with manufacture, delivery, sale, and possession of meth, possession of marijuana, and child abuse and neglect.

Kilgore's bond is $14,000. He is still in jail.

Also arrested, Donna Jo Burns. She's charged with attempt to manufacture methamphetamine, manufacture, delivery, sale, and possession of marijuana, and child abuse and neglect.

Burns' bond was set at $14,000.00 and she is in custody at this time.

Megan Louise Croft, is charged with manufacture, delivery, sale, and possession of meth, child abuse and neglect, and possession of marijuana.

Croft's bond was set at $14,000.00 and she is still in custody at this time.

This investigation is ongoing and Monroe Sheriff's deputies say further charges are pending against other involved parties.

Bivens says the child abuse and neglect charges stem from a child with some of the suspects when they were arrested.

That child has been turned over to the Department of Children's Services.

Debbie Reed, is charged with unlawful drug paraphernalia, possession of meth for resale, and attempt to manufacture methamphetamine.
