Douglasville, GA (WVLT/CNN) -- An Atlanta-area shopping mall is back open after a robbery and shooting that left two people hurt.
Chief of Police in Douglasville, Joe Wiseman, told CNN that a suspect approached a Brinks Security officer taking money to his armored truck outside the Arbor Place Mall just after noon on Monday.
Chief Wiseman says the suspect fired at the Bricks Security officer and the officer fired back.
Witnesses told WGCL-TV that they heard as many as nine shots fired.
Both men suffered gunshot wounds and were taken to the hospital.
The police chief says both men will recover from their injuries, but that the suspect has more serious injuries.
"He planned this out, there's no question about it," said Chief Wiseman about the suspect.
Some media outlets were reporting polie were looking for another suspect.
Chief Wisman says the mall is no longer on lockdown but they couldn't rule out that another person may have been involved.
