Knoxville (WVLT) - A truck driver is lucky to be alive after he says his GPS navigator took him on the wrong road where he crashed.
Michael Defovault had just left the Pepsi plant to go back to I-40 when he made a wrong turn onto Huckleberry Springs Road.
Defovault says he saw a curve coming up but before he could slow down enough. The weight of his trailer turned over.
There was a concern for a while because his fuel line broke leaking gasoline, but it was quickly fixed. Michael suffered minor injuries with a bruised elbow, but he says he's blessed to be alive.
"I was lucky. I was blessed. Ain't no luck to it, God had an angel with me otherwise I would have rolled over and crushed me," Defovault said.
Defovault says this type of accident happens often with truck drivers, but he says this is only his second time in 18 years as a truck driver.
