KPD: Man wanted for stabbing woman in front of her daughter
Knoxville police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Cornelius Dominic Matthews, 26 of Knoxville.

Knoxville (WVLT) – Knoxville police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Cornelius Dominic Matthews, 26 of Knoxville.
Matthews is wanted for attempted first degree murder after a Christmas morning stabbing on Jourolman Avenue.
Cops say he stabbed Callie N. Powers, 25, three times in the chest as they both sat in a car on Joroulman Avenue around 3:00 a.m. on Christmas morning.
Powers' daughter was in the back seat of the car, but was not injured.
Powers was taken to UT Medical Center for treatment, her condition has not been released.
Matthews is described at 6 foot 1 inches tall, 210 lbs.
His last known address was 207 Bell St. and police say he is known to hangout on Virginia Avenue in the Western Heights neighborhood.
