Knoxville (WVLT) – A 2004 SEC East Championship ring selling this weekend on the Internet, is no longer available.
It's unclear why the ring is no longer for sale. It could have been purchased, removed from eBay or pulled from the site.
The ring is from the Vols 10-3 season which concluded with a New Years Day victory over Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl.
According to its listing on eBay, the “hard to find” ring belonged to a player on the team.
It is made of 10 karat gold and topped with cubic zirconia, measuring a men’s ring size 10 ½ and weighing 38.0 grams.
According to the auction page, only the winner will know who the ring belonged to.
But one side of the ring has the number 12 engraved on it, which was worn that season by backup quarterback C.J. Leak.
Leak went undrafted following the bowl game and later signed with the Buffalo Bills and then Tampa Bay Buccaneers, both of which envisioned him as a tight end.
He was released by the Bucs last June.
The auction was scheduled to end on January 12th.
It was listed at a "Buy it Now" price of $2,750.
