KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- Knoxville fire inspectors are trying to find out what started a house fire in East Knoxville Thursday morning.

Firefighters were called to the home behind Austin-East High School, near Hembree and Wilson Street around 9:30.

They found a small fire in the rear of the abandoned home, and were able to extinguish it quickly.

Fire inspectors are trying to find out if homeless people were living inside the home at the time of the fire.

Firefighters also had to deal with a tree that had fallen on the rear of the home. They believe that happened during Wednesday's storms.
