Fire damages East Knoxville home
Knoxville fire inspectors are trying to find out what started a house fire in East Knoxville Thursday morning.

Firefighters were called to Hembree and Wilson Street to battle a small fire in the rear of a home on Thursday, February 7th, 2008. Firefighters believe the tree fell on the home during Wednesday's storms.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- Knoxville fire inspectors are trying to find out what started a house fire in East Knoxville Thursday morning.
Firefighters were called to the home behind Austin-East High School, near Hembree and Wilson Street around 9:30.
They found a small fire in the rear of the abandoned home, and were able to extinguish it quickly.
Fire inspectors are trying to find out if homeless people were living inside the home at the time of the fire.
Firefighters also had to deal with a tree that had fallen on the rear of the home. They believe that happened during Wednesday's storms.
