KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A psychiatrist says a Knoxville teenager accused of killing her parents should be committed, not put in jail.
Fifteen-year-old Amanda McGhee is charged along with her 21-year-old boyfriend in the deaths of her parents last summer.
In a juvenile hearing Tuesday to decide if she will be charged as an adult, Dr. William Kenner testified that he believes McGhee suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and bipolar disorder.
The boyfriend, Andrew Bryan Mann, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
The couple is accused of plotting to kill her parents because they did not approve of their relationship.
