MARYVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- It's just a technicality, but some South Blount Utility District customers are glad they have another month to fight back against the utility's move to add fluoride to their water.
Fluoride was to be added Wednesday, but the board for the utility delayed adding it because they forgot to send a notice to customers about the additive when they sent out this month's bills.
The delay was met by loud applause from customers who packed the board room for the meeting.
Many protested outside the utility before and after the meeting.
Volunteer TV's Stephen McLamb was at the meeting. Stay connected to Volunteer TV News and volunteertv.com for continued coverage of this developing news story.
