(WVLT) Is your next door neighbor a sex offender?
There's a quick and easy way to find out if they're living in your neighborhood.
Volunteer TV's Lauren Davis has more.
There are sex offenders living closer than you think.
And they could prey on your loved ones, especially your children.
KPD Captain Gary Holliday says, "they will prey on any opportunity they have any child they have ability to approach as a target."
It is important for parents, school systems, and day cares to know where they live.
Holliday says, "i think it's important all parents do that just to be on the safe side just to see what's near them."

Click on the red, yellow and green boxes and it shows you their picture, their address, their conviction and how far they are away from your front door.
Police remind you to look at their picture and remember it.
"Be careful be watchful and if you see folks just keep an eye on them."
This could keep your kids safe in their own neighborhood.
