Knoxville (WVLT) - We now know the names of the eight men charged after the Knox County Sheriff's office busted a meth lab in West Knoxville.

All of the following people are charged with the manufacture and initiation of process to manufacture methamphetamine:

Johnny Parker Lane, 43. He's out of jail on bond.
Ron Walter Austin, 32. He's still in jail on a hold from Anderson Co.
Russell Lee Jarrard, 36. He's still in jail on a $10,000 bond.
William Matthew Allison, 26. He's out on a $4,000 bond.
Aaron D. Lawhorn, 27. He's out on a $10,000 bond.
Josephy Akins, 29. He's out after making a $4,000 bond.

Only Lawhorn does not have a past criminal record. The owner of the house, Boyd Lane, does not live at the house and was not charged. He will be responsible for inspecting and hiring a private contractor to clean up and decontaminate the home.

Sheriff's deputies tell us this is a pretty good size bust in a nice neighborhood.

Chemicals, Sudafed, Lithium batteries and fertilizer--all things investigators found in the basement of this home on Kevin Road. They're agents used to cook meth two to three times a week in this house--a very active lab.

"Cooked on two to three days ago, found a gram of meth in the house and the necessary chemicals to cook it," Assistant Chief Robert Sexton said.

Deputies have been to this house twice in the last two weeks and knocked on the door, but no one opened. Then Wednesday they arrived with an arrest warrant and detained 8 people inside the home.

"A very good neighborhood watch was very impetus in us coming down here and we appreciate the family and neighborhood watches," Sexton said.

Kevin Isbell has lived in this house across the street for eight years. Last weekend he smelled a strange odor coming from the house.

"I'm shocked this was here but I'm relieved this is coming to a head," Isbell said.

Relieved because he's had problems with cars coming and going at all hours in the night, and he says there's been several front yard fights at the house.

"Just glad they're doing something about it," Isbell said.

Now officials will seal off the house and clean it after these toxic items were used to cook meth inside the home.

Eight men were taken into custody. It's not sure how many men have been charged yet.

Nice excuse. William won't be the first person that goes to jail by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Make smart decisions and choose the right people to hang around and you won't be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Do not be so anxious to judge and convict these men. Things are not always as they appear. I know for a fact that William Allison was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

drug and labs are every where, and when you put your back down and think oh it can't happen here or there it does, just like murder, sex charges, and drunk drivers, this will never change, just be proud that the police busted, and cought every one of those guys, and the police is off to another place that is infected with drugs,so this should be a lesson never put your gaurd down, even if the neighborhood is a good area. let continue to keep our chidren safe
