Knox County (WVLT) - Knox County's mayor is under review for a stock purchase he made about three and a half years ago.

The news sentinel reports Mayor Mike Ragsdale purchased $10,000 of stock in IdleAire Technologies in December of 2004, in the same month he signed and finalized a one million dollar federal grant to the company.

Ragsdale also sat on a 12 member committee which oversaw federal grants to IdleAire totaling nearly 2.8 million dollars over the last six years.

IdleAire is a Knoxville company that makes in-cab electric units for 18-wheelers.

Mayor Ragsdale has not commented about the situation.

Now let the average Joe do something like this and they would be doing time in prison for inside trading..! STEP DOWN RAGSDALE... you're nothing but an embarrassment to the entire county..!! You have proven that you are as crooked as the people that abused their purchasing power while working under you in the Mayor's office.
