MAYNARDVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A three car accident around 8:00 a.m. Friday remains under investigation.

It happened on Highway 33 in Union County, just north of Maynardville.

The roadway in that area was briefly shut down while crews worked to clear the scene.

At least one of the cars left the roadway and went down into a ravine, but there is no word on how many people may have been injured, but the Tennessee Highway Patrol says there were no fatalities.
