Tullahoma, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The brave men and women of Tennessee's 1175th are now home.
Monday, the first soldiers made their way back to an armory in Tullahoma, just in time for Mother's Day.
Officials said the unit moved heavy equipment back and forth from Kuwait to various locations in Iraq since last summer.
Soldiers saw almost a full year of combat, making their return home to their loved ones the best mother's day gift of all.
"oh no, no no no. we were struck 15 times by the enemy with machine gun fire and IED's, no purple hearts, and as I told you, I brought them all home."
Once again, all of the 1175th returned home safely.
Members of the 1175th stationed out of Jacksboro are expected to return home early this week.
