MORRISTOWN, Tenn (WVLT) -- A county commissioner and a constable have been indicted and face criminal charges in Hamblen County.

Hamblen County Commissioner Frank Parker and Constable Paul King both face one count of theft over $500.

Parker also faces one count of Official Misconduct.

The charges stem from a complaint by a citizen that the two men allegedly took $750 dollars to get a man's car out of the impound lot.

TBI Investigators say that was illegal because there was no fee to get the car out of the lot.

Both men were arrested today and have since posted five thousand dollars bond.
