KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A small fire ignited inside of the Knox Rail Salvage building on East Jackson Avenue in downtown Knoxville Wednesday.

Knoxville Fire Captain Chris Dyer says the fire appears to have started in a room where ceiling tiles were stored, and damage was limited to the room and contents.

Dyer says most of the fire was put out by the building's sprinkler system, but firefighters had to lay water lines to finish it off.

The fire is not being considered suspicious at this time, but investigators are trying to figure out just how it started.
