KINGSPORT, Tenn. (AP) -- A weekend traffic crash killed two young men in northeast Tennessee.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported a car driven by 23-year-old Johnny Wagner of Church Hill ran off a curve on Carters Valley Road, went airborne and struck an embankment.

Wagner and his passenger, Joshua Wallen, also of Church Hill, were killed in the crash early Sunday.

The THP reports states neither victim wore seat belts, but wearing them probably would not have made a difference.
