LOUDON COUNTY, (WVLT/ AP) -- Some East Tennessee emergency crews were busy late Thrusday night and early Friday morning trying to save two children from drowning, but one ended up dying while the other survived.

Around 2:00 a.m. Friday, police got a call about an unresponsive 13-year-old boy in a hot tub at a home on Hall Road in Loudon County, according to Sheriff Tim Guider. Taylor Mills, of Leesville, La. was flown to Children's Hospital in Knoxville, but died.

Guider says the teen had an apparent contusion to his head, but it's not clear if he drowned or died of the head injury.

Mills had been seen doing flips.

The teen and his father had just flown in from Louisiana to visit Mills' grandparents, and had arrived at the home about an hour before the boy was found unconscious.

An autopsy will be performed to pinpoint the exact cause of death.

About four hours earlier, in Oak Ridge, fire and EMS crews responded to a call about a 6-year-old boy found at the bottom of a swimming pool at 101 Jarrett Lane around 9:55 p.m. Thursday, according to Oak Ridge Police Captain Alan Massengill.

Anderson County EMS spokesman Jon Knowles says rescue crews started CPR and gave the child two rescue breaths before the he was revived.

He was transported to Children's Hospital in Knoxville where he reportedly arrived conscious, alert, and oriented, Knowles said.

Capt. Massengill said the child was at a home where there were several other children and adults who quickly noticed the child missing, found him in the pool, and called 911.
