HAMBLEN COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Hamblen County foster father now faces a first degree murder charge in the choking death of his foster son.
The grand jury handed down the new indictment against Kenneth Wayne Taylor, who was originally charged with reckless homicide in the November death of 16-year-old Jordan Kaleb Shelton.
The 53-year-old Taylor has been free on bond since his arrest.
A judge will consider whether to increase his bond now that he faces a much more serious charge.
Taylor is due in court Friday, July 11.
