TIPTONVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Court officials say three former Tiptonville firefighters who pleaded guilty to arson are violating plea agreements that include paying restitution.
Lake County Circuit Court clerk Deborah Beasley said Floyd Kilburn, former fire chief James Blackburn and his grandson, Brandon Blackburn, are considered in violation of their plea deals.
A 2006 series of intentional fires burned vacant houses and sheds but caused no serious injuries.
Court records show Kilburn is behind on restitution and repeatedly failed to meet with his probation officer. He faces a Sept. 23 hearing.
The district attorney has petitioned to end the deal with the Blackburns because restitution hasn't been paid. A judge has set an Aug. 26 deadline for them to catch up.
